I took 0 pictures so here is a dog.
The parking brake doesn’t work yet. I need to pull the battery so it “forgets” its calibration and recalibrates.
The cooling system is empty because I don’t have any distilled water. Also apparently I’m going to have to do a lot of dicking around to get it because everywhere I’ve checked has limits on how much water you can buy. Apparently there is some pandemic or something?
New intake was a bit of a pain to get on, but it is on.
Spark plugs looked varying shades of gross. Two had oil ingress from the valve cover gasket, but I’m not dealing with it now.
Brake pedal went to the floor for... some reason. The calipers aren’t leaking, so my guess it is them filling/re-extending. This is my first ever 4-corner brake job so... don’t really know what to expect there.
Overall: GREAT SUCCESS. It doesn’t feel like one becau se I’m tired, but I’ll be happy tomorrow once I get some coolant and water and sleep.

Good to hear!
If you pushed the pistons back in while changing brakes, the first pump or two of the pedal will go to the floor as they fill back up (taking up the slack between piston/pad/rotor)
as you suspect
. If it keeps it up then something is awry.

So, with the 25 feet of coolant line, are you facing issues with bleeding air from the system?

You can’t get 50/50
coolant?

Unless the jag takes something special, I would recommend this too.

First thing I thought of too. Hopefully no one is drinking all that.

A dog that stays IN the crate? This cannot be

Dude, that seems really rough for a not that old Jag.

$9/gallon, yes. Also because I’m not confidant I can get all of the water out of the system, the best way to get a 50/50 mix is to flush with distilled water, drain it, then add 1/2 the total cooling system volume in pure coolant and top off with water.

I just put the pink stuff in my wife's car and the green stuff in my pickup, both premix. Of course I don't own a supercharged large(r) displacement Jag so I suppose it's more critical on your vehicle than a Corolla

He feels safe in the crate because George Lucas will fuck him up.
That's George. She's a freaking panther.

The cat hates him. It's better this way. He has a perimeter collar so he's only in the crate at night

4 corner brake jobs I’ve done in the past the pedal always goes to the floor the first time after you start the car. Pump it slowly a few times to let it build up pressure hopefully without creating any bubbling in the lines and then check fluid. From there everything has always been fine for me (unless there was an underlying issue).

Haven’t gotten that far yet haha

Ehh just a lot of deferred maintenance plus some preventative

When I redid the cooling system on the Z3, I was introduced to this concept. Up to this point, it was full unti it doesn’t take water anymore...now it’s,”it must be a 50/50 mix and burped....complicated.

Haha yeah the cooling system on the Land Rover were infamously complicated so I was somewhat indoctrinated in the world of silly cooling systems back then. I have a vacuum filler thing, although I’ve never had great luck with it, so I’ll probably give that a go.
